Shipping policy
Thank you for your interest in ordering from East Coast AF. Unlike traditional clothing companies, we print or embroider every garment to order. This allows us to offer you a wider array of products, styles, and sizes, but it does create a delay between the time we receive your order and the time it ships out to you.
Note about Local Pickup products
Occasionally, we offer Printed-on-PEI designs for local pickup. We make it clear on these specific product pages that these items are for local pickup only and cannot be shipped. We typically offer a similar version of the product that can be shipped, elsewhere on our site. Due to limitations of the system we use (Shopify), local pickup product pages may reference "free shipping", but SHIPPING IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THESE PRODUCTS.
How long will it take to prepare my order for shipment?
We send your order directly to one of our printers. It takes them 1-6 days (0-3 for t-shirts, on average) for your order to be printed/embroidered.
There are few factors that could extend the production time, including a shortage of the colour/size of garment you ordered, or high production volume at our printer. In cases where are notified of a possible delay in advance, we will do our best to share that information on our website or remove the specific products subject to delay. In cases where we learn of a delay after you have placed your order, we will inform you of the issue and the options you have, such as modifying your order.
What shipping options do I have in Canada & the U.S.?
Shipping tip: Some of our orders ship UPS or by other private courier. This means faster shipping, but there are a few things to know:
- UPS cannot ship to PO Boxes. If you do provide a PO Box as the shipping address for your order and our production partner is not able to ship to a PO Box, we will contact you to get a valid street address before we can process your order.

Provide a phone number that you can be reached at between 8am and 8pm when your parcel is out for delivery. Particularly if you live in a building with a buzzer or where UPS has historically had a hard time accessing. They will reach out if they are having trouble delivering your package.
For orders shipping to both Canada and the US, we offer free shipping with tracking on orders over $75.
Canada
$6.99+tax/Free on orders over $75; estimated delivery 1-7 days after printing; tracking included.
Please note that the shipping service is determined by types of products you order and the production partner who ships them to you. Most Canadian orders will ship via UPS (1-3 days from the time your package ships), but some products will ship via Canada Post exclusively (2-8 days from the time your package ships). You will receive tracking information specifying the carrier and estimate delivery when your package ships.
United States
$6.99+tax/Free on orders over $75: no fee; estimated delivery 1-5 days after printing; tracking included.
Orders to U.S. locations may be delivered by any one of a number of logistics operators, or the USPS. We cannot control which service our partners select, but in every case, we will provide you with tracking information once your order is shipped.
All told, from the time you put in your order until the time you receive it, Canadian and U.S. customers will typically wait between 1-2 weeks, with a small number of orders arriving after 3 weeks.
Why are you now requiring a phone number for orders?
Your phone number will only ever be used by UPS to call you when they are having trouble successfully delivering your package, or if we need to get ahold of you about your order and you do not respond by email. Our new printing partner for most t-shirts requires a phone number for these purposes only. We will never use it for marketing.
Do you ship outside Canada and the United States?
Kind of. The current global political/economic climate has made international shipping a bit more of a quagmire, and our volumes outside North America have been low. So we're working on things like complying with European product information regulations, but it will take us some time to figure it all out (and hopefully for things to cool down). As a result, we've removed the option for international shipping from our site. However, if you really want one of our designs and you don't live in North America, send us an email (info@eastcoastaf.ca) amd we will try to work something out for you!
How long will it take for my international shipment to arrive?
This varies, depending on where the recipient lives. Most of our orders will ship via Canada Post Tracked Packet - International and arrive 6-10 days after shipping. However, some of our printers partners have facilities around the world, and where shipping would be impossible, very costly, or very slow, we may have an order produced at a location closer to you.
Will I be charged duties or tax on my international order?
We do not collect any sales taxes other than Canadian GST/HST. As a result, you may be responsible for pay sales tax on your order when the item is delivered. In the EU, for example, because we do not collect VAT, your may be required to pay it on your order at the time of delivery. Please consult with your local tax authority for the details on how shipments from Canada are taxed on arrival.
Duties also depend on where you live and what trade agreements exist between your country and Canada. Again, please consult with a local authority on the situation.
What do I do if I don't receive my order?
Get in touch with us. If you have been waiting over 2 weeks and you’re worried about your order, get in touch with us at info@eastcoastafapparel.ca or message us on Facebook. We can work with the printer to find out what is going on, and in the case something has gone wrong, we can either re-print your order or issue you a refund.
